As he marks 47 illustrious years at the Bar, I reflect on the profound impact he has made—not only within the legal profession but also in the hearts of all who have had the privilege to know him.
From the very beginning of his illustrious career, Asiwaju has embodied excellence, unbounded energy, and unwavering commitment. His roles as the former Attorney General of Osun State, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, a Life Bencher, and until recently, the esteemed Chairman of the Body of Benchers, stand as testaments to his relentless dedication to justice and service.
His journey has been one of continuous growth and significant influence, lighting the path for many through his wisdom, integrity, and steadfast support. As it is wisely stated, “A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.” Asiwaju has been that guiding light, not just as a mentor but as a guardian and role model for countless individuals.
